Health and wellness studies have proven that living or spending time by the ocean positively affects levels of happiness and overall wellbeing. With this in mind, two East Coast spas - Florida's SiSpa and Cape Cod's spa at Chatham Bars Inn - offer guests a relaxing spa escape complete with ocean views and post-treatment toes in the sand.

Located at two premier oceanfront Florida destinations at Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa and Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa, the award-winning SiSpa provides guests with a world-class wellness sanctuary. The world's oceans and seas lend their names to each of the treatment rooms at SiSpa, while their restorative elements are harnessed in therapies ranging from a Voyage of the Si Chakra Experience to a Replenishing Sargasso Seaweed Experience. Now until Aug. 31, 2015, visitors can enjoy summer specials such as 50-minute body treatments for only $99, or a complimentary Skin Authority Plasticizing Mask with every 80-minute facial. Every treatment provides access to both resort pools and the beach.

A wellness experience inspired by the Cape’s own bounty awaits spa-goers at the luxurious Spa at Chatham Bars Inn, Cape Cod’s beloved resort celebrating its 101st Cape Cod summer this year. Here, just steps from the Atlantic Ocean, saltwater and other sea elements, cranberries and coastal herbs, smoothed beach shells and basalt stones are all integrated in an extensive menu of healing massage, body care and skin care therapies. Offered in the summertime, the spa’s Cabana Massage (60 or 90 minutes) is conducted in a private outdoor garden cabana. It includes a massage with rosemary and mint infused oils, followed by a succession of botanical hydrolats that are misted onto the skin and worked into the body. Cool stones placed on the face and a head and neck massage complete the treatment, which starts at $150.
